bulletHolly Ann Sittel Pichiarella, age 43, of Knoxville, TN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at her home following a courageous 2 ˝ year battle with cancer. Holly was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and daughter. Holly was born in Nashville, TN, grew up in Kingsport and graduated from Sullivan South High School. She graduated with a B.S. degree in microbiology and an M.S. Degree in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Tennessee. Holly worked at X-10 and Y-12 facilities in Oak Ridge. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Larry Pichiarella; children, Kevin, Christopher and Emily of Knoxville; parents, Chester and Carol Sittel of Kingsport, TN; brother, Matthew Sittel, wife Karen of Bellevue, NE; mother-in-law, Frances Pichiarella of Dunmore, PA; brother-in-law, Tom Pichiarella, wife Michelle; nephew, Nathan; niece, Lauren; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Holly had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved bird-watching and visiting yard sales to search for antique toys and plates. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with a Christian Wake Service to follow at 4 p.m. on Sunday. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12 Noon on Monday at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Michael Woods celebrant. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Autism Society of East TN, P.O. Box 30015, Knoxville, TN 37930 or Breath of Life Support Foundation, Inc., (865) 250-2593. Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel, 11915 Kingston Pike is serving the Pichiarella family.
